Getting Started With Link Building and What To Expect

We’re so excited to work with you!

Here are the steps of our Onboarding Process:

  1. Scope of Work Agreement is signed and payment information is confirmed
  2. A confirmation email will be sent, and you will be introduced to your Account Manager
  3. Link Building Onboarding Form and other Access details we need are sent to us (details below)
  4. Kickoff call will be scheduled with the Sure Oak team to make introductions and review our scope of work
  5. Project Begins

What We Need

To help our team implement changes and track progress, we need access to the following:
  1. Questionnaire — Please complete our Link Building Onboarding Form. This is crucial for you to fill out ASAP so that we can get started on competitor or keyword research, if applicable. If you’d like to share any other previous SEO reports, keyword research or competitor data with us, please email your Account Manager.
  2. Reporting Data Logins – Provide the email address [email protected] access to Google Analytics, Google Search Console (formerly known as Google Webmaster Tools), and any other relevant software reporting will need to be provided so an accurate depiction of the state of the website can be analyzed during the audit.
  3. Website Access – Access to the backend platform and any other relevant software will need to be provided to review and make changes and updates to the website as needed. Any changes will be pre-approved before going live on the website.
IP Addresses – In order to ensure that data is being acquired accurately, internal IP addresses will be filtered out in Google Analytics. These internal IP addresses will need to be provided on the below Onsite Optimization Form to add to the data filters. (To find an IP address, simply type “what’s my IP address” into Google and record the numbers it gives. Record any IP addresses that are commonly used to access the website (i.e. work office, home office, local coffee shop, etc.).

How We Work: Our Process

We have designed a systematic approach to how we perform our daily SEO tasks and deliverables. At the beginning of a scope of work, we develop a strategic roadmap and create efficient project plans that will support the overall goals of the project.

Reporting and Communication Cadence

Reporting and effective 2-way communication are vital to moving work forward in a timely manner, and for effectively managing expectations for both sides of our relationship.

Your Account Manager will be in touch via email throughout each month, delivering work projects, reporting, and providing other information related to our strategy and the approved scope of work.

Periodically, phone calls may be needed. Your Account Manager will connect with you to schedule a call, if needed.

Monthly Reporting

A Monthly Report will be delivered after the first week of each month, for the preceding month. The report will include all links earned for the previous month and any relevant campaign updates.

Additional Consulting

Our services by nature are consultative, and we have developed our proposed pricing based on certain assumptions around the amount of time we’ll need to spend on your account. We’ve built project plans accordingly that will allow the Sure Oak team proper time to research, develop, and deliver work projects.

Also please note that we offer a broad range of SEO and digital marketing services, so if you have any additional marketing needs outside of what is indicated in your scope of work, please let us know and we’d be happy to discuss options and your other needs further.
